Digital Agriculture Week
What is it?
It is a forum spearheaded by IICA to enable leading figures involved in the digitalization of agrifood systems in the Americas to engage in dialogue and coordinate actions to drive that process.
It is a hybrid event. Selected AgTechs and special guests will attend in person at IICA Headquarters in San Jose, Costa Rica, while multiple leading figures will participate virtually. Many of the activities will be broadcast online for the public.

Details of the call
AgTech startups from the Americas with ready-to-use digital solutions (not ideas or prototypes) are invited to apply to participate in Digital Agriculture Week (DAW).
-
IICA will bring together an ideal panel of judges comprised of leading figures from different sectors, who will select the 15 AgTechs that will participate in DAW in person at IICA Headquarters (Costa Rica).
-
The startups will be selected based on the potential of their digital solutions to improve the production, sustainability and inclusion of agrifood systems.
-
This edition will prioritize digital solutions that directly contribute to food security, prevent and mitigate the impact of extreme climate events (especially droughts) and water management.
-
Similarly, those led by women will be received with special interest. However, these will not be exclusive criteria.
-
The call will be open from May 13th to July 1st.
-
Only agtechs originated in countries of the Americas will be considered.
To participate, you have to complete this form:
The selected startups will travel to Costa Rica to participate in DAW, with all expenses paid.
Present your solution to an audience from all the countries of the Americas and the rest of the world, especially interested in taking advantage of digital solutions.
Participate in talks and direct exchanges with top-level leaders on the subject and key multinational organizations for digital transformation.
Propose collaborations with IICA to implement pilots for the use of its solution in the member states of the institute
All applicants will be allowed to participate virtually in the event’s activities and will become part of IICA’s AgTech Network.
Agtechs that applied in past editions may reapply (except for those that were winners).
Unselected agtechs will be able to participate virtually and will be linked to the IICA Network.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to expand your network and give greater visibility to your startup!
